Is the future the prisoner of the past? Freddie White has finally gotten her life together. The former drug addict and single mom now has a steady job, tidy apartment, and the love and support of her family. When she wows the crowd with her life story at a benefit for the Don Enzo Mission, a rehabilitation center that helped her recover, she is offered an opportunity with the local newspaper, The Morning Star, which could make for an even brighter future for her and her young daughter.
